I'm starting to feel like a new parent; I have the camera always on the ready for photos of the house in a different light or when anything new has been added. But it is looking terrific, isn't it?
Don put the trellis planter together yesterday and I planted it out with Nasturtiums, Sweetpeas, and Lobelia. This morning he made a start on putting together the garden arch but that will take a while.
Right now he just finished watching England beat Ecuador in their World Cup game. We are finding football (soccer) to be much more interesting to watch than American football or baseball. It's a faster-paced game, to begin with, but there are no commercials on BBC channels. Even if we watch the game on ITV, the commercials don't come until the half as the game is just not interrupted.
It's been a quiet and lazy Sunday for the most part. We both walked for the paper and then sat out on our patio and read it with our first cups of coffee. We put the choral music on the stereo and opened the windows. It was lovely.
Do you think something is missing? A report about Don out playing golf this morning with Gordon? They have decided now that Gordon is retired to play on Monday mornings so they both have their leisurely Sunday mornings with their wives. Isn't that considerate?
