Blustery Morning

High temperature today is expected to be 55 and the low, 48. We're having winds out of the northwest at 18 mph but they are gusting much higher than that. It rains on and off and the sun shines on and off. It's just one of those days!

Don was out with Gordon playing golf but they decided to quit after 9 holes because the wind was making things quite difficult for them. I am about to leave for morning coffee and after that, Don and I are going with Robbie and Peter Innes to have lunch in Crieff. A relatively new restaurant there, called The Red Onion, is supposed to be quite good so we're going to check it out.

Yesterday the skip was removed so we now can more easily get in and out of our driveway. I think Davy the plumber just arrived. He will be putting up the remaining guttering and downspouts now that the roof is completely finished. He'll also take a look at the gas fire which has been smelling kind of icky. The installer told me it would smell acrid for a wee while until coatings on things 'burned off' but it seems the smell has gone on a bit too long so we want Davy to check it out. He'll also take a look at the new garbage disposal and we'll make another appointment for him to come install that.

Time for me to gather my things and go out to watch for Robbie who is picking me up this morning.

The photo today is of the hamlet of Fowlis Wester (pronounced Fowls Wester) where I go to Pilates each week.
