The last of the scaffolding is away and for the first time, we can clearly see our new house. Although the part you can see still needs a second coat of paint and, obviously, landscaping must be done, "oor wee hoosie" is is looking very good indeed. The roofers finished their work yesterday afternoon as you can see by the shiny new roof over the sitting room extension and the verandah. Mr Jack and the brickies will come back later this week to dig us a trench for outdoor lighting cable, to clean up around the stone wall, and to prepare the ground for landscaping.
We have a garden arch and a trellis planter on order and expected in the next few days. Soon we'll have to decide how we want to plant the new beds and start getting some plants in.
Don is away on this gorgeous day for a Comrie Golf Course outing to the Kirriemuir Golf Course. I've already been to Pilates and will have some lunch then get into the studio to finish the second of the southwestern quilts I began at the retreat.
