The weather forecast never changes and the rain never comes, so from now on, you can assume it is sunny and in the mid-70s unless I say otherwise.
We had a busy day yesterday but still managed to look at some of the Sunday paper, have our usual Sunday morning brunch, and see a little bit of the last day of the British Open (and know that Tiger won for a second year in a row). Otherwise we were preparing the meal and the house for our evening guests. We had a lovely time last night getting to know Simon and Sophie better. There was cause for celebration when we learned that they are expecting in mid-November.
As we will miss the Fancy Dress Pram Derby this year, here are two photographs from last year's event. While it's going on tonight, we'll be on our way to Glasgow with Robbie and Peter Innes to see Billy Joel in concert. It will be the first time we have seen him since the late 80s or early 90s. We're looking forward to the event and to sharing it with friends. Full report tomorrow.
Don is off playing golf at St Fillans with Gordon. The perfect thing to do on a morning like this. Let's see...what can I hack up in the garden today?
