
Today we had our first Book Group Christ-mas Lunch. We all repaired to the Deil's Cauldron Restaurant in Comrie and had a lovely time, as you can see by this photo.
Tonight we are having Haig and Trish Hamilton over for their annual Channukah dinner. They enjoy Don's brisket so much that we have made this a yearly event for the four of us. I have made latkes (potato pancakes) which we'll serve with soured cream and apple sauce (which I also made with my handy dandy food mill). Don is making braised red cabbage to go with. For dessert I made another Victoria plum pudding. Fortunately, we can sleep in tomorrow.
