Cousin Naomi is now with us. She is winding down a 7-week holiday during which she has been in France, Russia, Spain, and the UK. You won't be surprised to learn that she is more than ready to get back home to Bellingham, WA. She is still enjoying her stay in Comrie, though, finding it a most charming village. This afternoon while I host my book group, if it isn't raining Don will take Naomi to Drummond Castle Gardens. We will sight-see further afield on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, depending on the weather, of course.
After dinner last night we took a walk around the neighbourhood, showing off outstanding gardens nearby, crossing the bridge, and wandering down part of Comrie's High Street before strolling back home. The above photo was snapped at 9:30.
We have had some amazing cloud formations in the past several weeks, most of which have brought us the rain. Interestingly, despite all the rain, we have had blue skies peeking through banks of white cumulous clouds nearly every day. (Normally when it gets rainy, the skies are grey and featureless.) Last night, as you can see, we had one of our most dramatic sunsets. We were all so glad that we took advantage of the opportunity to walk and watch as it developed and grew ever-more colourful.
