A Better Day

After sleeping at every possible opportunity from an hour after I got up on Monday until early on Tuesday morning (so many naps I lost track), I was feeling much better. It didn't take long before I started to wilt, though. I had an hour-long morning nap after breakfast but was otherwise alert and as the day wore on, a tad more energetic.

Trish Hamilton came to see me at mid-morning. We had a nice visit prior to her flying to Canada this afternoon to be with her daughter, Gillian. I believe the stimulation of her visit went a long way to pepping me up. She also brought two containers of soup, one of which we had for lunch.

In the afternoon, Helen Rae came by for a visit. We had a good natter about this and that and by the time she had left, I was ready to go into the studio.

All morning and in between the visits, however, the phone rang quite often, so I was further stimulated by answering the phone (while Don was at golf) and chatting with the callers.

And so I managed to spend the entire afternoon in the studio cutting out and assembling the cockerel to go with the first hen I made. I do think this fellow is the most splendid!
