Our Home Away from Home

We are in the process of moving back into The Rowans but thought you might like to see some photos of Millersfield, the home of our friends Gordon and Helen, where we've been all week. You can see from these photos that the house is lovely. Believe me, it is as comfortable as it appears.

Don is away doing a bit of grocery shopping so that we can feed ourselves tomorrow. Tonight, however, we are going to Comrie Cottage for dinner with Syd and Lorna Peedle, owners of the cottage we used to rent when we came here on holiday. Don has been clearing our bedroom and the bathroom while I have been wiping down the kitchen and unpacking some of the items we had put away before we left 3 weeks ago.

This morning Davy, the plumber, was here. He got the shower tray put in and he also hooked up the dishwasher. So now the washer, dryer, and dishwasher as well as the two sinks are all ready to go. Don spent quite a bit of time here at The Rowans last night getting our sitting room/dining room Hoovered and dusted and furniture put where it belongs. Even though half of the sitting room has no carpet and hasn't been painted, things look quite good.

It is another glorious day. Earlier, Don played golf while I played "waitress" at the Crieff Choral Group's coffee morning fundraiser. After we both got home to The Rowans, we had lunch and then got to work. So this is me taking a break from being on my feet. Now it's time to see how much more I can get unpacked or squared away as well as wiped down or dusted.

In the morning we'll go back to Millersfield to get the last of our stuff and to tidy up a bit for Helen and Gordon's return from Italy.
