Winter is Still With Us

We woke up to a very bright morning because it had been snowing. It snowed on and off all morning and into the early afternoon. In between the snow showers, we sometimes had blue skies and white puffy clouds, which made the snow even prettier. We probably got about 4 inches of snow or less. Eric Gnome tried to shelter from the snow. You can't blame him because he's the gnome with the hole in the top of his wee peaked hat. In a few days I'll have to go "empty" his head. You can tell he's none too happy about all this (not that he ever appears happy).

Obviously, Don didn't go out to play his scheduled golf game with Peter and Gordon (not the duo who sang "Sundays for Tea" back in the 60s--at least, I don't think they are). So he's spent the day on the computer doing some work, cleaning out our e-mail Inbox, and continuing to work on our reservations for the May trip to Italy.

Meanwhile, I have been in my studio finishing up the quilting on Helen's nap/lap quilt. I just finished sewing the binding onto the top side of the quilt. In a wee while I'll go watch the news on telly with Don while I hand-stitch the binding down to the back side of the quilt. I'll post a photo of the quilt here tomorrow.
